It is possible for a student who has prior learning or work experience that is related to the real estate industry to learn fewer units of competency in a course. This is called RPL. The eligibility checking process for RPL is called an RPL Interview.
The RPL Interview can determine eligibility for exemptions from completing some or all of the required units in a particular course. It is essential to make sure that you are not completing programs that you are already competent in. It is a formal assessment process & is “evidence-based”. It is the responsibility of the individual applicant to provide sufficient, valid & reliable evidence in support of their claim for RPL.
Evidence to be provided includes but not limited to below items. The more items you can provide, the more units could be exempted.
Certificate of Registration / Assistant Agent Certificate / Agent Representative Certificate
Statement of Attainment with transcript, issued by your training organisation
Other academic records (if there is anything related to Real Estate)
The job description in the employment agreement
Resume with detailed work description and referee
Company website profile screenshot
Record of a sold property, (done by the applicant)
Contract front page
Order on the Agent
Record of managing a property
Rent increase letter
An email from the work email address with email signature
Proof of ownership of a Pty Ltd
Management of a team, training new staff
Deal with dispute or complaint
Trust accounting, month-end, reconciliation
